The Sinclair Stevenson Gallery was officially opened on Saturday, October 7, 2006.

Dr. Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, the former President of Malta, inaugurated the gallery.

The first exhibition featured Austin Camilleri – a well-known and admired Gozitian artist who has had exhibits in London, Rome, New York, Brussels, Guatemala City, Geneva, and Konstanz, and, of course, several sell-out shows in Malta and Gozo. Collectors at home as well as abroad are eager to acquire his works.

Austin Camilleri generously agreed to donate a percentage of the proceeds from the exhibition towards the purchase of a much-needed portable ultrasound unit for the Gozo General Hospital.

Sonja Sinclair Stevenson says: “I am delighted to be able to open the gallery with an exhibition by someone of Austin Camilleri’s calibre.”
